This may be true, but there is another explanation for this phenomenon: The fact that we don’t like to do things with our time is probably because we don’t understand it. We tend to think of time as something fixed and fixed in a particular way.

But time isn’t fixed. It’s not that we don’t know how long we have on this earth, it’s just that we feel the need to cling on to it as if it were some precious asset. Like a precious diamond, we feel we must hang on to this precious thing and hold on tight, lest it explode or turn into dust or disappear altogether.
